From the surface, Angelita looks like a simple circular body of water surrounded by jungle.

The descent begins in slightly murky water before the visibility becomes exceptionally clear. As divers approach a depth of 27 to 30 metres, the famous hydrogen sulfide cloud gradually appears.

Approximately three metres thick, this white cloud creates the illusion of a river suspended underwater. Dead tree trunks emerge from the layer, producing a surreal landscape often described as a submerged forest.

What to Expect During Your Dive

After the safety briefing, your guide explains the deep-dive profile, maximum depth, communication procedures and planned limits.

The descent is made slowly along the wall until reaching a depth of approximately 30 metres.

The group then reaches the famous hydrogen sulfide cloud. Depending on the conditions and the selected dive profile, it may be possible to swim along the layer or briefly pass through it before spending a few moments beneath it to observe the submerged trees.

The ascent is made gradually, with careful control of the ascent rate and the required safety stop.
