Accessible to both recreational and technical divers, this configuration is particularly well suited to technical and cave diving.
Course objectives:
- Sidemount theory and equipment configuration
- Equipment adjustment and optimisation
- Confined-water exercises
- A minimum of three open-water dives
- A minimum of 120 minutes of dive time
Prerequisites:
Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
Minimum age of 15 with parental consent, or 18 without parental consent

Cavern Diver Training – Overhead Environment Diving
Cavern Diver – 5000 MXN / day
Discover overhead-environment diving within the naturally lit zone of the cenotes. The Cavern Diver course develops the skills required to remain within the limits of natural daylight and manage the specific risks of this environment.
Course objectives:
Dive-light use and underwater communication
Guideline use and management
Buoyancy, trim and propulsion techniques
Gas management in an overhead environment
Lost-visibility and gas-sharing procedures

Introductory Cave Diver Training
Introductory Cave Diver – 5000 MXN / day
Take the next step in cave diving by progressing beyond the naturally lit zone while respecting the limits and procedures of the Introductory Cave Diver level.
Course objectives:
Stress management and emergency procedures
Progression along the main guideline
Mastery of buoyancy and propulsion techniques
Strict gas management
Lost-visibility and gas-sharing procedures

Cave Diver Training
Cave Diver – 5000 MXN / day
Develop the skills required to plan and conduct cave dives independently, beyond natural daylight and without direct access to the surface.
Course objectives:
Emergency management in an overhead environment
Cave-dive planning
Advanced navigation using jumps, gaps and circuits
Gas and team management
Lost-visibility and gas-sharing procedures

Advanced Nitrox Diver Training
Advanced Nitrox Diver – 5000 MXN / day
Learn to plan and conduct decompression dives using Nitrox mixtures and oxygen to optimise ascent procedures.
Course objectives:
Procedure and emergency management
Gas analysis and identification
Maximum operating depth calculations
Decompression-dive planning
Use of a decompression gas

Technical Diver Training
Technical Diver – 5000 MXN / day
Deepen your mastery of decompression diving, multiple-gas management and the technical configurations used for deep dives.
Course objectives:
Management of failures and emergency situations
Advanced decompression planning
Management of multiple breathing mixtures
Use of decompression cylinders
Mastery of buoyancy and team procedures

Normoxic Trimix Plus Diver Training
Normoxic Trimix Plus Diver – 5000 MXN / day
Learn to use helium-based Trimix mixtures to limit narcosis and better manage deep decompression dives.
Course objectives:
Trimix dives to a maximum depth of 75 metres
Trimix analysis and gas management
Equivalent narcotic depth calculations
Advanced decompression planning
Management of multiple gases
Team procedures for deep diving

Technical Sidemount Diver Training
Technical Sidemount Diver – 5000 MXN / day
Develop your use of Sidemount for technical dives involving decompression and multiple breathing mixtures.

Maintaining buoyancy and trim during gas switches
Technical Sidemount configuration
Management of multiple gases
Decompression planning
Use of decompression cylinders
Failure management and emergency procedures

CCR Cave Diver Training
CCR Cave Diver – 6000 MXN / jour
Advanced training for rebreather divers who want to develop the skills required for cave diving with a CCR.
Skills developed:
Failure procedures and critical-situation management
Rebreather management in an overhead environment

Frequently Asked Questions – Technical Diving Courses in Mexico
What is technical diving?
Technical diving includes practices that go beyond the usual limits of recreational diving. It may involve mandatory decompression, multiple gases, Trimix, Sidemount, rebreathers or overhead environments.
What level do I need to begin a technical diving course?
The prerequisites depend on the course selected. Some programmes are accessible with an Open Water Diver certification, while advanced training requires specific certifications, experience and a minimum number of dives.
What is the difference between Cavern Diver and Cave Diver?
Cavern Diver training takes place within the zone where natural daylight remains visible. Cave Diver training prepares divers to progress beyond daylight, with more advanced planning, navigation and emergency procedures.
Is Sidemount only for technical divers?
No. Sidemount can be used in recreational diving to improve comfort, balance and access to equipment. It is also a particularly well-suited configuration for technical and cave diving.
Why complete technical diving training in the cenotes of Mexico?
The cenotes of the Riviera Maya offer excellent visibility and varied environments in which divers can develop buoyancy, propulsion, equipment-management skills and procedures specific to technical and cave diving.
Do I need to own my equipment?
This depends on the course and your configuration. Before the course begins, we review the available equipment and what will be required so that an appropriate configuration can be prepared for your training.
